Our History

2004 - Quickrelay Networks was founded in 2004. In the rural areas of Sevier County, there was a need for reliable, high speed internet. Existing copper lines could not support the increased demand and service requirements for the area. The first technology used was “BreezeAccess VL” which is a carrier-class, point-to-multipoint solution for wireless broadband outdoor connectivity and the delivery of high-quality data, voice and video services.

2009 - With the success of the VL platform, a new technology with many enhancements came to the market. This technology, called WiMAX, provided new point-to-multipoint capabilities for wireless high speed internet. Quickrelay adopted this technology in 2009 and has taken a stronghold in the rural areas of Sevier County. Since introducing the WiMAX platform, Quickrelay has experienced a 500% increase in customer subscriptions since 2009.
